Why Start Mosquito Treatments in March?

Mosquitoes are one of the most annoying insects, popping up during the spring and summer months. They always seem to come around as soon as you start to relax outside. The best way to try to control the mosquito population in your yard is to start in March and remove the root of the problem.

Mosquitoes lay eggs in March, primarily due to heavy rainfall. Whether you have water on top of your pool cover, a backed up drain, or a bucket that was left out, these are all hotspots for mosquito breeding. There's no need to panic, though. Bugsology will treat the problem in 3 steps.

  1. Our Bugsologists treat any stand-still water with Altosid Briquets. These blocks will prevent any pest from laying larvae in the water for up to 30 days.
  2. The Bugsologists use a spreader to protect your yard with insect repellent. The spreader has a bifenthrin granular to treat your grass and dirt for any breeding grown.
  3. Lastly, we break out the backpack fogger with a Bifenthrin and Growth regulator mixture. This prevents any breeding in the trees or shrubs.
